I’m Ruby Sands – a twenty-something, lifelong creative with a degree in music education, currently navigating the inter-workings of an office job in corporate America. I’m a walking contradiction, equal parts bold and uncertain, while always struggling to modulate my volume. I’m not sure where I’m headed, or how I’ll even know when I get there. I’m just figuring it out as I go. This blog is dedicated to snapshots of my journey – the good, the bad, and the downright ugly. Maybe you learn something, or just laugh at my expense, but these are some of the pieces of my story.

It’s messy, different, and delightfully weird. It’s bouncy and vivacious, and never quite does what I expect it to do. Sometimes it’s knotted and frizzy; others it’s enviably exciting with a beauty all its own. It’s untamable, unapologetically imperfect, and always smells a little bit like coconut conditioner. But no matter which way it curls, it’s always mine.
